In celebration of 20 years for the Lakeshore Art group, there is a members exhibition currently being held at the Living Arts Centre Gallery (2nd Floor of the Living Arts Centre, 4141 Living Arts Drive, Mississauga ON L5B 4B8). There will also be a closing reception on Thursday Sep 26th from 6-8pm. Join us in appreciation for the past 20 years as well as for the years to come. My painting entitled Land’s End, which was painted on rice paper using Chinese Brush Painting techniques is on display.
I was reminiscing about a trip many years ago to Halifax, Nova Scotia. We drove the Lighthouse Trail and it was simply gorgeous. Given I won’t be in a position to visit Eastern Canada any time in the forseesable future, I wanted to capture my memories and feelings of Atlantic Canada using Chinese inks. I’ve incorporated the famous Blue Nose schooner that is on our Canadian dime, as well as a lighthouse. It’s such a beautiful place.
This painting was exhibited during my trip to China August-September 2018.
